Racine is a manufacturing city of roughly 77,600 on the western shore of Lake Michigan, about 25 miles south of Milwaukee. Its signature anchor is S.C. Johnson, the fifth-generation, family-owned consumer-products company headquartered here since 1886, with about 13,000 employees worldwide and roughly $13B in 2025 revenue across brands like Windex, Pledge, Raid, OFF!, and Ziploc. The Frank Lloyd Wright Administration Building that opened in 1939 still serves as working corporate space, a daily reminder that Racine is a headquarters town.

Heavy industry runs just as deep. Racine is the founding home and present-day worldwide headquarters of the Case IH agricultural business (now part of CNH Industrial), where Jerome Increase Case started building farm equipment in 1842 and where the Magnum tractor line is still produced. Modine Manufacturing, a publicly traded thermal-management firm with about 10,000 employees, runs its global headquarters on DeKoven Avenue and has repositioned around data-center cooling. Twin Disc, Johnson Outdoors, Cree Lighting, Poclain Hydraulics, and a base of 300-plus county manufacturers fill out a metalworking economy where about 7,700 city residents work in manufacturing alone.

Most of that work still runs on manual effort: supplier and quality paperwork moving by email, IATF 16949 documentation rekeyed across systems, maintenance handled reactively on aging lines, and customer and dealer inquiries answered one at a time. Healthcare is the second-largest sector, with Ascension All Saints Hospital (a Level III Trauma and Primary Stroke Center) and Advocate Health running HIPAA-governed scheduling, intake, and records workflows that consume thousands of staff hours. These are exactly the high-volume, rules-driven tasks that AI handles well.

Racine firms that automate now pull ahead of regional peers still doing it by hand, and they do it from a lower cost base than Milwaukee or Chicago, with a manufacturing-fluent workforce trained through Gateway Technical College and its S.C. Johnson iMET Center. Because Wisconsin has no comprehensive consumer-privacy statute, the governing rules are sectoral federal law (HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, COPPA), the FTC Act, and the Wisconsin breach-notification law, all of which we build to from day one.
