The County of Brant is a single-tier rural municipality of about 39,474 residents (2021 census) spread across 818 square kilometres of southwestern Ontario, surrounding but separate from the adjacent City of Brantford. Its main town is Paris (population 14,956), often called the prettiest little town in Canada and the cobblestone capital of Canada, where the Nith River meets the Grand River, alongside the villages of St. George and Burford. The County has grown toward nearly 46,000 residents and projects more than 51,000 by 2035 as a commuter and residential base, with over 1,600 businesses and three priority sectors: agriculture, manufacturing, and creative and cultural industries.

Agriculture is the County's foundation. The 2021 Census of Agriculture recorded roughly 669 farms across 148,590 acres, and 77 percent of the County's land is classed as prime agricultural land, feeding into the wider Grand Erie agri-food region. Manufacturing is now the largest employment sector, reaching 3,851 jobs in 2025, a 16 percent increase since 2021. Tigercat Industries, a globally significant forestry and off-road equipment maker designed and built in Brant County, employs roughly 500 to 600 people locally and is doubling that with a new 275,000 square foot plant at 141 Consolidated Drive in the Brant 403 Business Park in Paris.

Four-lane Highway 403 access between the Greater Toronto Area and the U.S. border has turned Brant into a warehousing and logistics target. Adidas runs its Canadian national distribution centre in the Brant 403 Business Park, and Amazon is building a 200,000 square foot last-mile delivery station in the Rest Acres Road and Highway 403 corridor in Paris. Construction is booming alongside this growth: industrial building permits jumped to 150.2 million dollars in 2025 from 16.8 million the year before. Stubbe's Precast in Paris and Brant Tractor in Burford serve the agricultural and construction base, while 1200 Degrees Ontario built a new fire-apparatus facility in Burford.

County of Brant operators deploying AI for farm and agri-food paperwork, production and quality documentation, warehouse and dispatch coordination, patient access, and 24/7 customer service are pulling ahead of peers still running everything by hand. Lower operating costs than the GTA, serviced industrial land in the Brant 403 Business Park, and direct Highway 403 access make the County a practical place to put production AI to work. Every deployment runs under PIPEDA for private-sector data and Ontario PHIPA for health information, with Canadian data residency, Eastern Time support, and full audit logging.
