The University of Texas at Arlington anchors the knowledge economy: 41,613 students in fall 2024, about 8,600 faculty and staff, and a record $155 million in research expenditures in FY2024. Texas Health Resources is headquartered in Arlington, with Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital and Medical City Arlington serving the local market under HIPAA. GM Financial, a large J.P. Morgan Chase operations campus, and D.R. Horton (the largest U.S. homebuilder, headquartered in the city) round out a deep finance and professional-services base.
