AI Consulting

Strategy beforeyou spend.

AI consulting is advisory work that helps you decide where AI and automation actually pay off, then plan how to get there. We assess your readiness, map a prioritized roadmap, guide build-vs-buy and vendor choices, and oversee delivery. Because we also build what we recommend, the advice is grounded in what really ships.

What it is

What is AI consulting?

It is the thinking that comes before the building: deciding where AI is worth it, in what order, and how. It is strategy and judgment, not the build itself, and it should end with a decision and a plan, not just a slide deck.

Advisory, not the build

We help you choose the right problems and the right approach. When it is time to build, our delivery practice can execute the plan, or you can take it to anyone you like. The roadmap is yours either way.

What you walk away with

  • A readiness assessment with a baseline
  • A prioritized, sequenced roadmap
  • Build-vs-buy guidance, per use case
  • Vendor and tool recommendations
  • Oversight to keep delivery on track
Readiness and strategy

Are you actually ready for AI?

Readiness is whether the conditions for AI exist in your business yet. It is less about the technology and more about your data, processes, systems, people, and governance.

The dimensions that decide it

  • Data: is it clean, accessible, and enough?
  • Processes: are they worth automating?
  • Systems: can they integrate?
  • People: is the team ready to adopt it?
  • Governance: who owns the risk and the rules?

Get your score in minutes

Our free AI Readiness Assessment scores those dimensions and hands you a tailored starting point, before you spend a dollar on a build. It is the lowest-friction way to see where you stand and what to do first.

The roadmap

From “AI matters” to a plan.

A roadmap turns a vague sense that you should be doing something into a sequenced plan with a measurable first step. We start small on purpose, so the first win funds the next.

01

Find the use cases

  • Audit where time and money actually go
  • List the candidates worth automating
02

Prioritize honestly

  • Score each by business value and feasibility
  • Check the data and a clear owner exist
03

Pick the first win

  • Choose a high-frequency, measurable workflow
  • Set the baseline you will measure against
04

Phase the rest

  • Sequence the roadmap so wins compound
  • Revisit as results and priorities shift

Build, buy, or wait

The honest recommendation.

Not every problem needs a custom build, and not every tool needs buying. We are vendor-neutral, so we weigh buy, build, and wait on fit, cost, integration effort, and risk, never on a platform we are paid to sell.

Buy

When a proven product already does the job and the workflow is not where you differentiate. We will point you to the tool, even one we do not sell.

Build

When the process is core, specific, or poorly served by off-the-shelf tools, and a custom agent or automation earns its keep.

Wait

When the data is not ready or the use case is not clear yet. Sometimes the honest answer is to fix the basics first, or to skip AI entirely.

Through delivery

Advice that survives contact.

Grounded, neutral, right-sized

We stay involved

A plan only pays off if it survives delivery. We set the success metrics, keep governance and change-management on track, and make sure what gets built matches the strategy, handing off the hands-on work to our build practice and AI-OS.

Why our advice is different

We advise and we build, so we are not selling a deck we will never have to implement. We are vendor-neutral and sized for owner-operators, not six-figure transformation programs. That matters: Gartner predicts more than 40% of agentic AI projects will be cancelled by the end of 2027, most often for unclear value or the wrong first use case (Gartner, 2025).

Tool-agnostic

We know the whole landscape.

Vendor-neutral advice only works if you actually know the tools. We work across the platforms your business might use, so the recommendation is based on fit, not on what we happen to sell.

Is this the right page?

Consulting, or ready to build?

Start here when

You know AI matters but not where it pays off, whether to build or buy, or which tool to trust. This is the place to get a clear, vendor-neutral plan first.

Go straight to a build when

You already know the workflow you want automated. Head to AI Agent Development for the agents, or AI Operating Systems to run them all together.

What is AI consulting?
AI consulting is advisory work that helps a business decide where AI and automation will actually pay off, then plan how to get there: a readiness assessment, a prioritized use-case roadmap, build-vs-buy guidance, vendor selection, and oversight during implementation. It is strategy and judgment, not the build itself.
What does an AI consultant do?
An AI consultant assesses your readiness, maps high-value use cases, recommends an approach, helps you choose between building custom and buying off-the-shelf, and oversees delivery so the plan survives contact with reality. Good consulting ends with a roadmap and a clear first step, not just a report.
What is the difference between AI consulting and an AI automation agency?
A consultant advises on what to do and in what order; an automation agency builds the working system. Many engagements need both. The Automators does both, so the advice is grounded in what actually ships, and you avoid losing context in a handoff between two vendors.
How do I know if my business is ready for AI?
Readiness comes down to a few dimensions: clean and accessible data, processes worth automating, systems that can integrate, and a team ready to adopt the change. The fastest way to find out is to run a structured readiness assessment, which scores those dimensions and points to where to start.
Should I build a custom AI solution or buy an off-the-shelf tool?
Buy when a proven product already fits the job and your differentiation is not in that workflow; build when the process is core, specific, or poorly served by existing tools; wait when the data or the use case is not ready. We will tell you honestly which applies, including when the answer is to skip it.
How do you choose the right AI vendor or tools?
We start from the business outcome and the data, not the brand. We are vendor-neutral, so we evaluate options on fit, total cost, integration effort, and risk rather than on a platform we are paid to push. We will recommend a tool we do not sell if it is the right one.
How much does AI consulting cost?
It depends on scope, and we scope to the smallest engagement that answers your question rather than padding it. We quote your actual scope on a short call instead of a package price, because a real estimate needs to see the real work. There is no charge to find out where you stand.
What questions should I ask before hiring an AI consultant?
Ask what the engagement ends with, how success is measured, where their scope stops, who actually does the work, and whether they build what they recommend or only write recommendations. If the answer to "what do we have at the end" is a document rather than a decision and a roadmap, rescope.
Do you only advise, or do you also build what you recommend?
Both. We are an advisory and a delivery shop, so our recommendations are tested against what we have to build and run. This page is the advisory front door; when you are ready to build, we hand off to our AI Agent Development and AI Operating Systems practices.
