Leclerc Foods invested roughly $100 million and created over 200 jobs at the former Procter & Gamble plant on California Avenue, producing cookies and snacks, while Burnbrae Farms has run a cooked-egg and egg-product facility in the city since 2006. Brockville General Hospital, the regional referral hospital with around 1,334 staff and the 93-bed Donald B. Green Tower, anchors the health sector, alongside St. Lawrence Lodge in long-term care.
