Healthcare, medical devices, education, and tourism complete the base. Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital is a 357-bed not-for-profit community hospital and trauma center in Valencia. Advanced Bionics and Boston Scientific anchor a medical-device manufacturing niche under FDA quality-system rules. College of the Canyons enrolls around 41,000 students a year and partners with local manufacturers on workforce training, while Six Flags Magic Mountain, a 209-acre park with 18 roller coasters, employs roughly 3,000 people at the valley peak.

Santa Clarita firms deploying AI for production asset routing and location-permit coordination, ITAR and CMMC-aware supplier and quality workflows, patient access and intake, and customer operations are pulling ahead of peers still running everything by hand. With a deep advanced-manufacturing workforce, the CalArts and College of the Canyons talent pipeline, and proximity to the wider LA studio and aerospace ecosystem without LA-core costs, the Santa Clarita Valley is one of the higher-leverage mid-size markets to deploy production AI.
