Gainesville is, more than almost any comparable US metro, a single-anchor "eds and meds" economy. Tower Hill Insurance Group and a large Nationwide operation anchor insurance, and homegrown software firms like SharpSpring, Optym, Infotech, and Shadow Health round out a deep-tech and SaaS base.

For Gainesville organizations, the fastest-return starting points are patient access and recall outreach for the health systems, grant and research-administration document work for UF and its institutes, student and constituent service automation for the university and Alachua County, and validated document processing for the medical-device and biotech cluster. With UF talent next door and a 2-to-6-week delivery model, Gainesville is one of the better-positioned mid-size US markets to put production AI to work.
