Beyond the waterfront, North Vancouver runs on high-tech products and services, engineering, film and visual effects, and outdoor recreation. North Shore Studios anchors a production base inside greater Vancouver's Hollywood North, Capilano University's animation, VFX, and motion-picture-arts schools feed the talent pipeline, and Arc'teryx designs and field-tests its gear in the Coast Mountains behind its North Shore head office. Lions Gate Hospital, the North Shore's acute-care and referral hub, and a deep professional-services base along Lonsdale round out the economy.

North Shore firms deploying AI for shipyard and supplier documentation, marine and terminal operations coordination, film and VFX production workflows, tourism and hospitality customer service, and clinic and professional-services back-office work are pulling ahead of peers still running everything by hand. With Canadian data residency, Controlled Goods Program-aware handling for defence-adjacent work, and Pacific Time delivery, North Vancouver is one of the highest-leverage places in BC to put production AI to work.
