MountainView Regional Medical Center (1,200-plus employees, 223 physicians) and the 199-bed Memorial Medical Center make Health Care and Social Assistance the metro's single largest employment sector. The Mesilla Valley holds about 70% of New Mexico's pecan acreage, with Stahmann Farms among the largest single pecan orchards anywhere, alongside Hatch and New Mexico chile, dairy, onions, and produce that move under USDA and FDA food-safety rules.

Every one of these operations runs on documents, scheduling, intake, and coordination that consume staff hours a small Las Cruces team cannot spare.
