Chilliwack is the green heart of British Columbia. Auctioneers anchor a distribution base built on Highway 1 and a US border crossing 20 minutes south.

The challenge across these sectors is the same: thin back offices buried in paperwork. Dairy and processing operators reconcile supply-managed quotas, CFIA traceability records, and food-safety documentation by hand. Manufacturers chase quotes and supplier coordination across disconnected systems. Public bodies on the former CFB Chilliwack lands, now Canada Education Park, manage records under BC privacy law. Chilliwack's growing residential base, up roughly 11,700 people from 2020 to 2025, pushes ever more demand onto clinics, schools, and city services.

Chilliwack firms deploying AI for food-safety and traceability documentation, agri-food order processing, manufacturing back-office workflow, and after-hours customer service are pulling ahead of peers still running everything by hand. With UFV's Trades and Technology Centre and Agriculture Centre of Excellence supplying local talent, the eastern Fraser Valley is well placed to put production AI to work without surrendering BC PIPA and PIPEDA compliance discipline.
