Tourism operators field thousands of seasonal inquiries, and SaaS firms compete for the same engineers as Vancouver and Seattle. The work that drowns skilled staff is exactly the work AI automation removes.

Greater Victoria organisations deploying AI for FOI and records triage, citizen-service chat, marine and defence document control, patient-access scheduling, and tourism inquiry handling are pulling ahead of peers still running everything by hand. With UVic, Royal Roads, and Camosun feeding a deep local talent pool, and one of Canada's most digitally mature public sectors next door, Victoria is one of the highest-leverage markets in the country to put production AI to work.
